Homecoming 2010

 

The Harrisburg High School Student Council would like to announce the schedule of activities for the 2010 Homecoming Weekend. 
The following events have been coordinated to accommodate the annual festivities. 

 

            Thursday, September 30th

The Student Council would like to invite everyone to the Homecoming Parade to begin at 3:00 PM.   The theme for this year is “Arabian Nights.”  (Like in Disney’s Aladdin movie)  The parade will begin at East Side School and end at
West Side School.                                                                                                   

 

                        Anyone interested in entering the parade MUST contact Student Body President Caleb Thompson at the high school
                        at 253-7637 (ext. 2139) or advisors Mr. Gabe Angelly or Mrs. Hilary Ford at the same number before

Tuesday, October 2.  (Float information may be left with a high school secretary if the others aren’t available. 
This includes school entries.)

 

Information needed:  Organization’s name, contact person, address, and phone number. Parade packets will be mailed out as soon as possible after we have been contacted.

                        No political entries please.  No bicyclists are allowed in the parade.  Those who ride horses are asked to not ride up and
                        down the parade route prior to the beginning of the parade.

 

                        In the interest of safety and in accordance with City of Harrisburg policy, no items of any kind may be thrown from     
                        parade vehicles.

Those wishing to give items from a parade vehicle should have someone walk along the vehicle and hand the items out to observers.

 

            Friday, October 1st 

                        At halftime of the football game, the 2010 - 2011 Homecoming Queen will be announced.

 

            Saturday, October 2nd 

The homecoming dance will be held at the Harrisburg High School from 8 - 11 pm. The Coronation will begin at 8:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend the coronation.
